The Team

Natasha David grew up in Germany, raised by musician parents whose careers took the family around the world. At 18, she moved to New York City to attend NYU — and quickly discovered her calling behind the bar.
She built her career at some of New York's most respected bars: Danny Meyer's Maialino, Keith McNally's Pulino's, Maison Premiere, Mayahuel, and Donna. In 2014, she co-founded Nitecap with partners David Kaplan and Alex Day.
Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Vogue, GQ, Food & Wine, and many others. She has earned recognition as Zagat's 30 Under 30, Eater's New York and National Bartender of the Year, a StarChefs Rising Star, and Imbibe Magazine's Bartender of the Year (2020). Her debut book, Drink Lightly, was published by Clarkson Potter in April 2022.

Jeremy Oertel spent over 15 years behind some of New York City's most celebrated bars. His craft cocktail career began at Dram in South Williamsburg, followed by four years at Mayahuel and three years at Death & Co. He then co-founded Donna Cocktail Club, where he served as Beverage Director and partner.
His cocktails have appeared in Esquire, GQ, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Food & Wine, and New York Magazine. His recipes are featured in Death & Co: Welcome Home, Cocktail Codex, Finding Mezcal, Spritz, and The Old Fashioned.
He has appeared on PBS's Mike Colemeco's Real Food and alongside his wife on Food Network's Iron Chef America. In 2015, Food & Wine named him one of its Top 25 Rising Star Mixologists.
